Better problem solving is important to your company and your career. Company performance is the result of its ability to understand and avoid problems. Problem solving is also a career skill. Your ability to lead a problem-solving effort has a direct effect on your career development. Become a better problem solver today by attending one of our RCA classes. The Cause Mapping Root Cause Analysis Public Workshop is a great place to start.
In the Public Workshop, you’ll learn to apply cause-and-effect thinking to your problems. Our Cause Mapping method is a simple application of the scientific method. It’s an uncomplicated way to systematically investigate and prevent problems - from basic to the most complex. Too often companies make problem-solving confusing. Attendees describe this workshop as a refreshing approach. We have no jargon, terminology, or lingo and there’s no proprietary software to buy. By focusing on the basics, we show individuals and groups how to make complex problems clearer to find better solutions.
Attend the first two days of the public workshop or all three. The public workshop is also available live online in 3-hour sessions for those who prefer remote training.
The first day covers the concepts, lessons, and steps to consistently apply cause-and-effect thinking to different types of problems, issues and processes.
On the second day attendees will apply what they’ve learned to different exercises and case studies. Each person will learn how to start with a simple analysis that can expand into as much detail as needed to thoroughly explain an issue.
The third day teaches documentation skills for quickly and clearly capturing each piece of a comprehensive investigation. Attendees will also learn how to clearly present the findings.
Simply put, our public workshop is for anyone wanting to solve problems more effectively. Attendees of our RCA classes include executives and management, investigation-facilitation leads and frontline professionals from different disciplines across a range of industries.
Frontline people are the first to see problems. Cause-and-effect thinking provides them with a systematic way to troubleshoot those problems, communicate the details to others and find better solutions.
Whether leading a team through a complete investigation or dissecting a problem on their own, people need a structured approach to collect, organize and document all the details more efficiently.
Management is responsible for establishing a problem-solving culture. Leaders must know how to access the insight and ideas within the organization to improve work process and prevent problems.
I've done root cause analysis incident investigations for years. ThinkReliability's Cause Mapping process is the best way I've seen. I wish I had known about it long ago.- Attendee from University of Texas
This process provides a well thought out and inclusive methodology to conduct a thorough investigation. The method prevents the natural tendency to pinpoint a specific root cause and ensure that all causes are investigated and address.- Attendee from Veolia
Our company had a negative connotation around root cause analysis because of long drawn out cases that never reached a definitive end. At the ThinkReliability workshop we learned how quickly and painlessly information can be gathered and visually depicted to lead a faster analysis.- Attendee from Hormel
Workshops allowed our group from different parts of industry to see how all run into the same problems on a daily basis. With ThinkReliability, we recognized how quickly simple and complicated issues can be resolved. Very useful tool in setting and changing policies.- Attendee from Jet Aviation
ThinkReliability’s Cause Mapping is a very practical and structured process that can really aid any type of organization in incident investigations. Highly recommend them whether you are looking to
initiate your Cause Mapping process or even enhance it.
Our public workshop is available in two formats: In-Person or Live Online. Both options cover the same subject matter but allow attendees to engage in different ways.
If you learn best when working with a collaborative team, our in-person workshops will be right up your alley. Our in-person option provides interaction with a ThinkReliability Instructor, other problem solving professionals in similar or entirely different professions, and hands-on exercises that are worked individually and also as group exercises.
If scheduling or budget constraints means leaving your office isn’t an option, we also offer our RCA classes online so you can access training from anywhere from your computer. A live, ThinkReliability Instructor leads the workshop and provides effective exercises to demonstrate the methodology and application.
A ThinkReliability instructor will present the workshop at your location. Each attendee will learn the concepts, lessons, and steps of the Cause Mapping method. In addition to practice exercises and examples, attendees work on their current problems.
